OK, Ladies and Gentlemen, let's get into formation, please....

To celebrate CURA's April issue dedicated to Black Lives Matter, we’re taking a trip to Prohibition-era Harlem. There will be poetry readings, free-flowing libations and an artisanal chocolate tasting. To enter the Speakeasy, just whisper the title of CURA’s Fall 2015 Issue to the gentleperson at the door. (I know you already know—but it’s Fulcrum.)

Come disturb the peace with your fellow literary revolutionaries.
Dress to impress.
Costumes encouraged.

What Martín Espada has written about the social responsibility of the “Republic of Poetry” we believe applies to a Republic of all the Arts. It is “a place where creativity meets community, where the imagination serves humanity. [It] is a republic of justice because the practice of justice is the highest form of human expression."  CURA sits at the intersection of artistic expression, and compassion.  Here, words speak just as loud as actions.
